Use the Defold name and logo correctly
The rules below cover how the registered Defold name and logos may be used, when written permission is required, and which assets are safe to download and use as-is.
Defold name
The Defold name is a registered trademark (®) of the Defold Foundation. You may use the Defold name without separate written permission as long as you follow these rules:
- You may use the Defold name to refer to Defold products and services.
- You may use the Defold name to describe the true connection between your product or service and Defold, for example compatibility or educational material.
- You may use the Defold name in published materials if it is genuinely relevant and does not appear more prominently than your own trademarks, products, or services.
Defold logo
The Defold logo is also a registered trademark (®). Except for the Made with Defold logo, Defold logos may only be used under separate written permission from Defold.
- Use official and unmodified Defold logos exactly as provided on this page.
- Do not recolor, restyle, distort, rearrange, animate, or otherwise alter the logos.
- Do not reduce the logos so far that they become unclear, fuzzy, or illegible.
- Always leave enough clear space around the logos so they remain visually distinct.
Use permission
You do not need a written permission to use the Made with Defold logo as long as you follow the general logo usage rules above.
If you want to use any other Defold logo, please request a written permission first, because logos are protected by trademark laws.
Remember that we are open and we'll surely let you use the logo, if you want to use it properly.
